Every year, Malaysia produces quality accountants tied to the ACCA. For those who are unfamiliar, ACCA is a globally recognized professional accounting body that offers the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. In a recent display of excellency, 2 UiTM students have made the headlines, after obtaining the second highest exam scores in their respective accounting papers globally!
2 UiTM Accounting students obtains 2nd highest exam scores globally!
The two achievers, Nur Ilhan Nurina binti Mohd Oslan of UiTM Shah Alam and Muhammad Fawwaz Mohammad Masrinof UiTM Tapah have not only earned the second highest exam scores globally but have also clinched the first place in Malaysia in their papers, Audit and Assurance (AA) and Management Information (MA1) respectively.

According to the faculty of Accountancy in UiTM, Nur Ilhan Nurina was awarded as the Top ACCA Prize, while Muhammad Fawwaz obtained the Top ACCA FIA Prize for March 2024. Along with their amazing achievements, local newspaper Harian Metro reported that their achievements were a testament to the hard work, perseverance and dedication they’ve put in.
Other than that, the local mail also shared that the faculty of Accountancy in UiTM is currently the largest accountancy faculty in the country.
“The faculty holds great responsibility as it produces about 50% of accountancy graduates”, it wrote.

On top of producing quality graduates, the faculty is constantly improving their quality of education, ensuring that their graduates are market ready. That being said, program structures that are recognised by Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), ACCA, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Certified Public Accountants (CPA, Australia) and Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) are offered to students.
