Malaysia is a multicultural country that consists of different races. With that said, most Malaysians are exposed to at least two languages. Just recently, this Malay uncle has made waves on social media for his ability to speak Tamil!
Malay uncle surprises netizens by speaking fluent Tamil
According to a video on TikTok, a Malay pakcik was heard speaking very fluent Tamil. And while the ability to be able to speak Tamil is already amazing, what makes him stand out is that he was able to recite proverbs in Tamil.

In the video, the Malay pakcik said “urar pillayai uddi valarthal taan pillai taana valarum”, which means taking care of someone else’s child will help your child grow else well.
Speaking to Wau Post, Bob revealed that the primary reason for the uncle to be able to speak fluent Tamil is because he used to study in a Tamil school back when he was a little boy.

“Back in his primary school days, uncle used to study in the Tamil school in the estate”, he said adding that the uncle now gives tuition to primary school students who are learning Tamil, as a way of practicing and earning a living.
