Over the past few weeks, Malaysians and fans alike are surprised to find out that comedian Nigel Ng, better known as Uncle Roger, has decided to open his first ever restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. During the brief announcement in his YouTube video, the comedian did not reveal any details of the restaurant, except for its location.
“It’s halal!”, Uncle Roger’s restaurant will be open on Sept 11
In a post on his Instagram, Uncle Roger revealed some details about his new restaurant, including the fact that his restaurant will be halal! On top of that, a launch date has been announced and his grand opening would be on September 11, 2024, at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Sharing more details about his soon-to-be opened restaurant, the UK based comedian mentioned that customers and fans alike can expect dishes like fried rice in his restaurant.

To celebrate this incredible milestone of his, he is also urging all those who are planning to check his restaurant out to come on September 14, as he would be filming a YouTube video.
“To celebrate, we are filming a YouTube video, and we want you to come dress up as Uncle Roger’s iconic outfit, which is an orange shirt with black shorts or long pants, along with a carry bag and white covered shoes”, he said, adding that the intention behind encouraging people to dress like Uncle Roger, is to try and break the Guinness World Record.

Further encouraging people to dress up like Uncle Roger, he also said that the first 300 people who follows the dress code will receive a discount voucher from him and his team!
So, to those who are looking to support Uncle Roger, remember to dress up like him when you visit his store on the 14th of September! Grand opening for his restaurant will be on September 11!
