Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or Malaysian Certificate of Education, is a national examination taken by all secondary 5 school students in Malaysia. Just yesterday, results for SPM 2023 were released and this ice delivery man’s son has achieved excellent results, making his family proud.
Ice delivery man’s son obtains straight As in his SPM examination
According to local newspaper NST, Muhammad Izwan Hanif Ielaham, the son of an ice delivery man has obtained incredible results, scoring straight As! On top of that, the hardworking 18-year-old also managed to achieve A+ for 6 subjects including, Bahasa Melayu, English, Pendidikan Islam, History, Mathematics, and Tasawwur Islam.
When asked about his inspiration, Izwan revealed that his fuel in obtaining good results stem from his sister who is currently studying to be a lawyer.
“She is my inspiration and I aspire to be an educator in the future”, he said, wanting to be a part of shaping the future generation.

Sharing his secret to success, Izwan emphsised that paying attention during classes have helped him significantly. On top of that, he would also revise all his notes consistently, as well as attend any extra classes he could manage. The youngest of 3 siblings also said that he would often discuss his schoolwork with his classmates and friends.
“I find that discussing about our schoolwork would help strengthen my knowledge and memory about the subjects”, he mentioned.
Other than that, he also immerses himself in co-curricular activities such as spelling and storytelling events, which helped him shape his confidence and personality. In regard to his results, Izwan’s father, Ielaham Hissin expressed his gratitude and happiness sharing that he is proud of his achievement.
