Regardless of the choice you make in your career path, one should never be judged for their occupation, as long as their earning their wages honestly. With that said, 29-year-old Mohd Syafiq Nazri Mahamad Nasir has shared that he juggles between 2 jobs to help pay for his family expenses.
M’sian man with diploma cert offers grass cutting services
Just recently according to local newspaper Harian Metro, Mohd Syafiq who resides in Terengganu is offering grass cutting services to help with his family expense. Apart from the grass cutting services he offers, the man who holds a diploma in Environmental sciences from Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah, Sabak Bernam, Selangor, is also a clerk at a private company.
The 29-year-old revealed that he has been juggling between 2 jobs since 2019 after marrying his wife and having a daughter. However, his services for grass cutting have been ongoing since he was 13 when he was living with his uncle after his parents had split.
“That was when I learned how to be independent”, he shared, adding that he started out helping his relative who was also offering grass cutting services at the time.
Mohd Syafiq mentioned that his inspiration to start offering his services was through his relatives and thankfully, his wife and relatives are supportive of his decision to continue. He shared that he doesn’t feel ashamed to have this part-time job as he was able to earn up to RM100 every time he was hired.
However, the hardworking man shared that juggling 2 jobs also comes with its challenges. He revealed that he is unable to spend much quality time with his wife and kid as he would be at the office working from 9-to-5, subsequently providing his services during his free time and off days.
“It would take me 3-4 hours to complete my services but when my clients are happy with my work, I feel appreciated”, he said.
Subsequently, in an attempt to promote the services he is offering, Mohd Syafiq has created a TikTok account and would occasionally share some tips and advice on how to discard unwanted items properly.
