Driving during the bad weather is a hard task itself, let alone fly an aircraft. Just recently, a TikTok video has gone viral as a light helicopter was seen making a landing at Karak highway.
Helicopter forced to land on Karak Highway due to bad weather
According to the video posted by @lurma8 on TikTok, the man was forced to land his helicopter at the Karak highway, due to a bad storm. Local newspaper New Straits Time reported that the R44 light helicopter was seen parked at a clearing at the highway.
In addition to that, the light helicopter was accompanied by a police patrol car and in the caption, the man wrote,
“Thunderstorm on our way back to Kuala Lumpur, forced to land at Karak Highway for safety purposes.”
Following his short video, it has successfully amassed plenty of comments, with many comments praising him for putting the safety of himself and other road users first. Here’s what some of them said:
“This is a smart and good move. If the weather is bad, they should land. It’s okay to be late, as long as it’s safe.”
“May everything go well for you.”
“You should always be careful.”
“Robinson R66 is really a light helicopter. If the weather is bad, it’s better to land and wait. If it’s 44 & 22 model, it would be lighter.”
