As young adults, it’s normal to hang out with friends until the wee hours of the morning occasionally. As for this bunch of Malaysians, it was supposed to be a chill night out. However, it ended up being something meaningful as they found an old lady waiting for the train to start its early morning shift.
Group of M’sians found an old lady waiting for the train at 4am in the morning, sends her back home safely
According to a video uploaded by Ridzwan that made its wave on social media, it showcased a group of friends chatting with each other, making up for lost time. However, as they were hanging out, they realised that there was an old lady in a wheelchair. Seeing that it was the wee hours of the morning, they approached the old woman.
“We asked her why she was there alone, and she said it’s because she was waiting for the train”, they said.
With the intention of doing good, the group of friends then decided to wait with the makcik and send her back to her home located in Pasar Seni. Upon chatting with her, they found out that she actually lives alone and is suffering from mobility issues as her legs are hurting her.
When asked if she has visited the hospital to obtain treatment, she revealed that she didn’t want to as she would probably be admitted and there’s no one to take care of her.
3 children but none living with her
“My husband used to take care of me, but now I’m just alone as he passed away”, she said to them.
Ridzwan asked if she has any kids, to which she replied saying that she has 3 children but all 3 of them are daughters and have gotten married, leaving her to live alone.
Speaking to Wau Post, Ridzwan shared that the reason he posted the video was because he wanted to remind Malaysians that there are many Malaysians out there with kind hearts.
Following their post, many netizens have commented on it and here’s what some of them said:
“A mother can care for 10 children, but 10 children may not be able to care for their mother.”
“Thank you for being a kind person. I witnessed them carrying the makcik down the stairs.”
“Thank you for being kind.”
