Gordon Ramsay reacts to Khairul Aming following his burnt sugar steamed pudding recipe, netizens applaud

Known for his humble personality and simple yet delicious recipes, Khairul Aming is one of the fastest growing content creators in Malaysia. Other than his cooking recipes, he is also a successful entrepreneur that has recorded over RM14million sales for selling his famous sambal, Sambal Nyet.

Gordon Ramsay reacts to Khairul Aming following his burnt sugar steamed pudding recipe

A little over two weeks ago, Khairul Aming has posted a video on TikTok sharing that there will be a slight difference in his video, where he will not be sharing his own recipe, but instead using a recipe from famous chef and celebrity, Gordon Ramsay. In his video, Khairul Aming shared that he got the steamed pudding recipe from one of Gordon Ramsay’s cooking books and decided to give it a try.

Following his video, Gordon Ramsay had reacted to his video by duetting it, showering his praises towards Malaysia and Khairul Aming. As Khairul was making the pudding, Gordon was giving simple commentary on what Khairul was doing, occasionally praising him for the good work.

However, when Khairul was mixing the batter with a wooden spoon, Gordon poked fun at him saying that he should’ve used a bigger spoon. Nonetheless, as he was tapping out the bubbles after pouring the batter into the baking pan, Khairul was once again praised for good technique.

When it was time to bake the pudding, Khairul then apologised in the video saying that his oven had broken, so he has no choice but to use a steamer for the pudding. Regardless of that, the end results were fantastic as Gordon sang praises to Khairul saying that the pudding came out beautifully. Khairul then ended his video, by topping two scoops of vanilla ice-cream onto the pudding before giving it a taste.

“It’s delicious and your entire kitchen would smell like heaven”, he said.

Subsequently, Gordon announced that he will be heading to Malaysia next week and has vowed to make another steamed pudding for Khairul, not forgetting to say well done to him! The video has since garnered over 150k likes on TikTok and here’s what some of the netizens have to say:

Such a huge achievement to be recognised by an international celebrity chef, congratulations Khairul!
