Drawing is a great way to express your emotions, especially when you can’t find words to describe them. Just recently, a 16-year-old student has decided to showcase her talent by completing a stunning acrylic painting portrait for her teacher!
16yo M’sian student gifts retiring teacher a stunning acrylic painting portrait
As a sign of gratitude and respect towards her teacher, Aqilah has decided to dedicate a portion of her time to complete this acrylic painting. Speaking to Wau Post, the 16-year-old student hailing from Pahang shared that she always had a knack for painting. As she entered form 2, she met her teacher, Mr. Zulfikry.
“He would always look at my art and encourage me to continue painting”, she said.

In an attempt to help her fine tune her skills, Mr. Zulfikry then spoke to a form 6 arts teacher, Mr. Radzuan who then agreed to guide her further. No wasting her teacher’s effort, Aqilah would either head to school earlier or stay back after school so she could work on her art pieces.
Fast forward 2 years later, Mr. Zulfikry is now 58 years old and has decided to retire. In hopes of thanking her teacher, she then painted an acrylic painting of him and gifted it to him as a retirement gift.

“It took me about 8 hours to complete the painting”, she said, adding that she spent 5 hours at home and another 3 hours in school in order to finish the painting.
