One of the best things about Malaysians is the kindness that we have to offer the people around us. Just recently, Foodie CEO, Pinn Yang has shared his experience after encountering a lovely family that offered him a cup of water when he asked.
Kind M’sian family receives a brand-new set of furniture after offering water to a stranger
Speaking to Wau Post, Pinn Yang shared that he asked a woman if she was able to offer him some water. To his surprise, the woman instantly agreed and took him to her house, where she asked her husband to fill a cup of water for him. As her husband passed her a cup of water, he invited him in and told him to have a seat.

Touched by his warm gesture, Pinn Yang then asked if he was able to get a short tour around the house and that’s when he found out that the family also has 3 children. Looking at the sofa he was seated at, the woman then told him that they’re actually preparing to throw their sofa out as it has been broken for some time.
“Even the one you were sitting has broken”, she said.

Seeing that they were kind enough to invite him back to their place just to offer him water, he then decided to gift them a brand-new set of sofa. As he told the news to the couple, they were hesitant and said that they couldn’t accept such an extravagant gift. After some persuading, the couple then humbly accepted the sofa and began hunting for a sofa that they liked.

After scrolling through the options on Lazada, the family then decided to settle for a couch that’s minimal and elegant. And just after a day, the delivery has arrived, and Pinn Yang helped the family move the old couch to make space for the new couch. Upon receiving the new couch, the family was incredibly happy with the gift they were given.
“I didn’t expect the couch to arrive so quickly”, said the woman happily.
