One of the best things about Malaysians is how kind and compassion we are to everyone and everything around us. Just recently, a touching story that surfaced online where a Malay woman was seen feeding a stray dog with a piece of fried chicken, after seeing the dog loitering around.
M’sian man selflessly takes care of 7 dogs after finding out that their owner passed away
On a similar note, a Malaysian man was found taking care of 7 dogs after finding out that their owner passed away despite knowing that he might be ridiculed by others. When asked by local newspaper Sin Chew Daily why he was doing so, the man answered saying that he believes that dogs are also God’s creation, and his religion has taught him to always be kind to other living things.
Following his selflessness, the man also revealed to the local mail that he had once taken care of 60 cats but has re3duced to just 30 as the money needed to sustain their livelihood is rather hefty. The local mail then reported that the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) branch youth secretary councillor Leslie Lau has advised asking him to let someone else care for the dogs.
Upon hearing the advice, the man politely declined and shared that he wasn’t ready to let go of the furry friends that he’s taking care of.
“If God deems me as a sinner, I’m willing to bear it. In my heart, I believe that dogs are living beings and I can’t bear to abandon them”, he said, adding that he genuinely cares for the animals and wants to take care of them.
When asked how he started taking care of the dogs, he shared that the dog named Bibi was one of his neighbour’s pets. Following the owner’s passing, Bibi was passed to another neighbour who passed on just last month. That being said, Bibi was left to wander the streets until he found Bibi curled up underneath a car and in labour.
“I’ve watched Bibi grow up and he breaks my heart to see her in that state”, he said.
Despite facing the risk of backlash, the man remains determined to take care of the dogs as he believes that the more animals he adopts, the more blessings he will receive.
Thank you for being such a kindhearted and selfless man, the world certainly needs more people who are loving and kind to animals.
