M’sian man sells off his collectibles so he can buy prayer kits for mosques!
According to local newspaper Harian Metro, Eky Ekmarl Che Det has made the noble decision to sell his collectibles and Hot Wheels collection. This decision came after Eky had the urge to donate prayer kits to mosques and suraus. By selling off his personal belongings, Eky would then have the funds to purchase items like prayer mats, sarongs, and the Quran.
Practicing this noble act since 2022, Eky envisioned that it would help the imams and congregants in the mosque. In addition to that, all his prayer kits will be distributed nationwide, which includes:
- Johor
- Negeri Sembilan
- Selangor
- Terengganu
- Kedah
- Perak
- Kelantan
- Kuala Lumpur
When asked why he decided to sell his personal belongings and collectibles, the 44-year-old man shared that it was because he didn’t want to burden anyone with his own wishes.
“I want to be able to help people according to my own means”, he said, adding that he doesn’t like to ask for donations.
By selling off his unused shoe collection and other collectibles, not only is Eky able to fulfill his wishes of donating prayer kits to mosques and suraus, but he is also able to avoid any wastage. Truly a noble man with pure good intentions. Thank you for spreading kindness to the world in your own means!
