The lengths our mothers would go for us is something that requires true selflessness. While their children may get to live comfortably, we never know what a mother may have to sacrifice for it.
Kind M’sian policeman donates money to elderly mother who sells recycled items
In the wee hours of the morning, one policeman did not expect to see someone up as early he was. As TikTok user @mpv_shah made his rounds, he came across an elderly woman sifting through a large bin.
Curious, the policeman began to ask what she was working on. “I’m looking for items that I can recycle and sell,” the lady replied cheerfully. After that, he discovered that she was a widow and had a child.
“A mother’s love is incomparable”
She explained that this was her daily routine, searching for cardboards and other recyclables, and selling them. When asked why she was doing this, the woman explained that it was to support herself.
“As long as I’m able to, I want to make a living to sustain myself,” she told the man. Furthermore, she added that she did not want to trouble her child with extra expenses.
Moved by the woman’s resilience, the police officer gave her some money to help lift her burden. The woman gratefully thanks him, and the police leaves to carry on his patrol. Later, she can be seen waving happily to him. Additionally, viewers expressed heartfelt sentiments towards the woman’s tale and his kind deed.
Like many others, we certainly do hope she gets the aid she deserves.
